"This painting was inspired by my visit to the beautiful town of Villerville in Normandy, France. I love narrow European streets with cobblestones, beautiful architecture, colorful flowers, and the smell of coffee. All of this creates an intimate atmosphere. I wanted to paint a connection between a mother and a child walking on one of these streets, perhaps on the way to their favorite bakery."
